The Toronto Triumph Club Inc. was founded in October, 1982. We started with a handful of Triumph enthusiasts and have grown to become the largest British sports car club in Canada, with over 500 members. We have contacts with other Triumph Clubs and enthusiasts throughout the world. Most of our members are in Ontario, but we have others all over Canada and the USA.
We are dedicated to all Triumph motor cars and our members own anything and everything from a 1947 Triumph 1800 Roadster to 1982 TR8s. Models include TR2, TR3, TR3A, TR3B, TR4, TR4A,TR5, TR6, TR7, TR8, Spitfire, GT6, GT6+, Stag, Bond, Vitesse and Herald.
PURPOSE
The motto of the club is "All to Preserve the Triumph" and we encourage members to keep their cars roadworthy. British sports cars are becoming very popular again and there are many suppliers dedicated to supplying new(old stock) and reproduction mechanical and body parts. Most members have extras parts they can swap. Our members share information on the best suppliers, mechanics and body shops in the area. Several members have done complete "body off" restorations and can advise others contemplating such an ambitious project.
To keep things more personal, four Coordinator positions have been established to help members with similar cars: TR2/3/4, TR6/250, TR7/8/STAG, Spitfire/GT6.
DRIVING YOUR TRIUMPH
Unlike some other brands of "appreciating" sports cars, TRIUMPH owners like to drive their cars, not just polish them. The club organizes casual "Sunday Drives" in conjunction with other British car Clubs. Each June we have a "Fun Rallye" to test our navigation skills.
MAJOR EVENTS
Each May we hold the "British Sports Car Spring Fling" weekend in southwestern Ontario. For 2001, the event was held in beautiful Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Our premiere event in the August is the "Canadian Classic" concourse weekend. Previous locations include Niagara Falls, Picton, Collingwood, Kingston, Peterborough, Ottawa, Barrie, Burlington, Sarnia, and Belleville. This years event will be held in Jordan Harbour, Ontario. The US Triumph clubs have raved about this 3-day event which includes Driving Skills, Local Touring, Navigational Rallye, Concourse Judging and Banquet.
On the third Sunday in September we organize "British Car Day" in Bronte Creek Provincial Park. It is the largest all-British car event in North America. All British marques are represented from Austin to Vauxhall. Over 1000 vehicles attended last year.
MONTHLY MEETINGS
The club has regularly scheduled meetings (January to November) on the third Tuesday of the month starting at 7:30PM. The primary location is currently the Toronto Aerospace Museum in Downsview. The location may vary throughout the year. Map to TAM Watch for updates on the home page or call our INFOLINE at 416-410-4882.
RAGTOP MAGAZINE
You don't have to live in Toronto to enjoy the benefits of club membership. Our Quarterly magazine, "Ragtop", is one of the best club "newsletters" available. With up to 60 pages, it is filled with news, stories, tech-tips, member profiles, supplier ads and the ever popular member want-ads.
REGALIA
The club also has it's own line of top quality Regalia, that every Triumph owner would be proud to own: Lapel pins, golf shirts, sweat shirts, jackets, hats, beer mugs and car badges.

All this, and more, is available for only $35.00 per year. You also receive a membership card and window decal. For more information contact us at:
