AUGUST 2010
DateEventTime
Sunday, 8Brits on the Lake 2010, Port Perry, Ontario, August 8th9:00 am
**9:00 am to 4:30 pm**

A Special Invitation for you!!

Join us and be our guests in Port Perry on Sunday August 8th, 2010 for 'Brits on the Lake' Classic British Motor Festival, the all-British motor event with a heart. Our second annual Festival promises to be one of the best British car/bike/bus events that you'll ever experience!

To make that experience even more fun, the theme of the day will be HAWAIIAN! That's right - get out your loudest hawaiian shirts and shorts and enjoy a real summer's day at the ocean.........or lake.

If you've visited Port Perry before, then you'll know about our beautiful and historic downtown area on the waterfront of Lake Scugog, chocked full of boutiques and shoppes that make exploring fun and you'll recall the intoxicating aromas wafting into the street from the bakeries, restaurants and cafes. You'll, remember the ice cream cones, the quiet stroll through the parks on the waterfront and the small town warmth and friendliness that greeted you and you'll want to come back for 'Brits on the Lake'.

On the other hand, if Port Perry is somewhere that you've never been, then you'll just have to join us and find out for yourself!

'Brits on the Lake' will add all of the nostalgia and beauty associated with British family saloon cars, sports cars, motorcycles and buses in a perfect fit with the charming atmosphere of Queen and Water Streets in Port Perry.

Let us drop some names of those you'll meet here - Jaguar, Austin Healey, MG, Triumph, Marcos, TVR, Vauxhall, Ford, Jensen, Turner, Bentley, Rolls Royce, BSA, Norton, Matchless, Bristol.....

Sunday, 1927th Annual TTC British Car Day Sunday Sept 19th9:00 am
British Car Day is hosted by the Toronto Triumph Club, annually on the third Sunday of September. Since its inaugural event in 1984, it has grown in leaps and bounds, and now draws around 1000 British cars, with room to grow even bigger. The event is the premier all-British car event in North America, with visitors from throughout the northeast United States, the Maritime provinces, Quebec, and Manitoba. We have even had visitors from Alberta, Texas, the U.K., and New Zealand.

The venue for British Car Day is Bronte Creek Provincial Park, about 20 miles west of downtown Toronto, conveniently located at the Burloak Drive exit of the Queen Elizabeth Way. The south entrance is for non-British cars, while the north entrance is reserved for British car exhibitors.

Every year one of the most popular destinations of the park is the Vendors' area. Annually, over 50 British-related vendors offer their new and used goods for sale, including car parts, whole cars, t-shirts, hats, tools, books, supplies, and on and on. Many vendors offer end-of-season specials so there are lots of bargains.

Saturday, 2British Sportscar Leaf Peeping Rally Oct 2-3rd, 20109:00 am
The Purpose of the Rally

This rally began as a desire to augment the current event schedule with something that provided many hours of pure driving pleasure for the driver and replace the hours of sitting at a show with hours of pure shopping and sightseeing pleasure for our passengers.

The inaugural event was held in 2009 with only two Triumph TR6's and with four people in attendance, but despite the small numbers the rally proved to be everything all of us could hope for, it made everyone happy and yes, the original four are going again!

Besides, what better way to enjoy the beauty that an Ontario autumn has to offer, than by going 'Leaf Peeping' in a British Sports Car.

Please see the link for further information on this great event!

Primary contact for this event will be Robert Polutnik. Robert can be reached via email at rpolutnik@technolutionsci.com
